Bitumen Tank Semi-Trailer – Capacity 40,000 Liters

The body of the bitumen tank is manufactured in accordance with European standards, following the designs and specifications of Calabrese, former partner of the National Trailer Company.

General Technical Specifications:

• Capacity: 40,000 liters of bitumen.

• Tank shape: Can be circular or oval according to the client’s request.

• Overall length: 12,000 mm.

• Width: 2,500 mm.

• Number of axles: Three axles.

• Internal tank wall thickness: 4 mm steel plate.

• External tank wall: 1 to 1.5 mm steel plate (cladding).

• External insulation: Mineral wool, heat and fire resistant, 80 mm thick.

• Hot air compressor (brasatori): Compliant with European specifications.

• Internal pipe network: Steel piping inside the tank.

Tank Components:

• The tank body is made of hot-rolled carbon steel, type St-37, supplied by the Libyan Iron & Steel Company – Misrata, compliant with the chemical and mechanical properties of British Standard 4360.

• Steel plate thickness: 4 mm.

• Non-slip walkway on top for access to openings during filling.

• Two filling openings, 500 mm in diameter, with heat-resistant, tight-sealing covers.

• Rectangular metal frame along the top of the tank, height 150 mm.

• The tank is mounted on an ST-37 steel I-beam chassis, 12 mm × 120 mm, with semi-circular bases welded to stabilize the tank.

• The tank is then covered with 1.5 mm steel plates and painted.

• All steel plates are inspected before production to ensure they are free of defects.
